Adorable (with a French accent). Great styling as usual.

I saw Alex Chung out at Teddy’s in Hollywood this past Friday, July 16th. At first I didn’t even recognize her because she was wearing what resembled a long, floral granny dress with a loose fitting old white T-shirt over top and her hair was in her face. She and another girl (in a similar outfit) were dancing like little girls in the middle of the dance floor and having a blast. Without the T-shirt, the dress is actually really cute and she is truly stunning.
Usually, when I spy a celeb I try to play it cool and “not care” when I totally do. With Alexa it was different, I was willing to risk all forms of coolness and so I was a total nerd and went and asked her for a photo while she was chilling in the back corner. She was very sweet and immediately said yes.

I have always loved the combination of a light army jacket over a white, girly dress.

It’s so friggin’ hot in the city right now all I want to do is stay inside and spend quality time with my air conditioning unit. If i was forced to part with chilly my haven (say, if my building was on fire or I run out of food and water), the only thing I’d want to wear is this with nothing underneath. Sure, it would be inappropriate, but so is 100 degree weather.

I was cleaning up my desktop today and found this gem from an old obsession…this editorial was quintessential Steven Klein and its influence can not be missed in Lady Gaga’s Alejandro.

Treacherous Minx (tminx) is an LA based brand that prints original drawings and collages onto comfy cotton tanks, tees, and cropped tops. The drawings are inspired by starlets of the 60’s including Brigitte Bardot. Tminx features girls, lots of girls – girls in sexy lingerie, girls with guns, girls with huge sunglasses…I especially love the clean outlines and blank faces on many of the drawings.
The designer (who happened to be in my photography class), gave both myself and our fellow classmate (who is also named Hannah) matching cropped tops with the cutest design. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to practice our photography skills, so Hannah and I ventured into LA’s Runyon Canyon and took the following photos. Check ‘em out and be sure to check out tminx too! The designer mentioned that more designs will be up soon including looser tops and thinner cottons!

This jumpsuit was created by Kittey Keay who also won the Mulberry Accessories Award for her graduate school collection. The colors and layering of the fringe are just phenomenal. Her collection was based upon the frivolity of Marie Antoinette, ahh it all makes sense.

A tiny hunting cottage in the Catskills is transformed into a dreamy escape by Sarah Foster.
A refuge of sorts, the entire renovation cost only $3000. Salvaged wood, flea-market chandeliers, and Target linens were Foster’s go-to purchases. Only true talent can create beauty for such a small budget.
Although there is no kitchen or bathroom, there is a comfortable bed, only accessible by a ladder.
And when Foster is done her daily dreaming, she crosses a stream…
And returns to her 1971 trailer which she shares with her husband Todd.
While her tiny cottage waits patiently for her return.

Scott Campbell for Louis Vuitton
Tats take it to a whole new level. Well, unless you’re counting these.

I need to recreate this. My obsession with eggs grows even deeper. Staring Faye Dunaway and an egg.

I have one criterion when I buy a bag. It’s got to have a strap. I have a terrible track record of losing things that I have to hold on to – passports, drinks, babies, etc…you get the idea. So when I saw this Givenchy bag on luisaviaroma, I knew I’d found my perfect match.

It looks like Raf Simons went on a field trip to an abandoned leather tannery and crafted these beauties out of random junk he found laying around. Raf’s rusty heel totally trumps Acne’s tetanus-inducing, pom-pom-adorned version.

White latex, Givenchy spikes, cupless bras, and skeleton corsets take your typical under-the-sheets wardrobe to titillating new heights in this ed. featured in Cosas Moda Magazine. Styled by my dear friend Ken Dreyer, who has a keen eye for detail and has a killer intuition about fabrics and cuts, it showcases the luxe fabrics and intricate details that are trademarks of Andres Sarda’s lingerie.

These two rooms styled by Irina Graewe make cracked walls, milk crates, chipped mirrors and bandaged sofas look cool.

This image reminds me of those Commes Des Garcons shoes with the feet drawn on them.
